Vaughan's two passions in life are motorcycles and yachting. You can usually find Vaughan at the club, working on a boat or some part of the building. Vaughan learned to sail here at CYC in 2010.
Luke is a highly skilled coach, who has been developing his coach skills alongside his yachting for the last 6 years. Luke learned to sail here at CYC in 2010. When he gets the chance, he's out racing in his Laser.

Thomas is an experienced Learn to Sail coach who has been working with our Learn to Sail groups for the last 4 years. Not only is he a good yachtsman, but also, he's pretty good in a blokart.

Coming from an established family in Canterbury yachting, Vaughan is a highly skilled Laser sailor, who adds great value to our Junior Programme, passing on his racing knowledge to the junior sailors.
Another member of the England family, Simon is very fast in his Laser, and takes great pride in teaching specific racing and boat handling skills to the junior sailors in his coaching sessions.

Hailing from the Queen Charlotte Yacht Club in Picton, Seren has been a great addition to our coaching team over the last couple of years. His enthusiasm and knowledge of sailing and coaching has been a valuable addition to the team.
Bret de Thier

Bret has a long, and successful racing career, representing New Zealand at many levels, including the Olympics, where in 1984, he coached Russell Coutts. At CYC, Bret works with our racing juniors to get them performing at the top of their fleets.
